Join us for an exploration of Tibetan culture and unique family history with author Ann Tashi Slater.

In a multimedia presentation, Ann Tashi Slater will discuss her Tibetan family history, talking about the friendship between her great-grandfather and the 13th Dalai Lama, as well as the vibrant Tibetan community in Darjeeling, India. Reading from her work and sharing photos and film clips, Slater will reflect on disappearing traditions and cultural heritage. A reception will take place before the program.
